These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of littlelayers.in and all custom 3D printing, prototyping, and digital modelling services provided by LittleLayers Studio in Dibrugarh, Assam, India. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
💡 Understanding 3D Printing: Additive manufacturing builds objects layer-by-layer. Micro-layer lines, fine seam textures, and minor support marks are genuine physical signatures of 3D printing and are not manufacturing defects.
1. Eligibility & Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or place an order on LittleLayers. If you are under 18, you may use our services only under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. By registering or placing an order, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), we require verifiable parental consent before collecting or processing personal data of minors. Parents or guardians who believe their child has registered without consent should contact us immediately at hellolittlelayers@gmail.com.
2. The Nature of 3D Printing & Physical Tolerances
To avoid misunderstandings, please understand the physical realities of additive manufacturing:
- Layer Lines & Surface Finish: In FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling), molten polymer is deposited in microscopic horizontal strata (typically 0.12 mm–0.24 mm). These lines are visible under close inspection and do not constitute structural flaws.
- Resin (SLA) Miniature Prints: Resin models offer ultra-high resolution (0.05 mm). After printing and UV curing, support contact points are carefully removed, but may occasionally leave faint touch marks.
- Dimensional Tolerances: Standard printing tolerances are ±0.2 mm to ±0.5 mm depending on model scale, geometric overhangs, and cooling contraction.
- Thermal & Environmental Care: Decorative PLA prints should not be exposed to prolonged high heat (>55°C). Specify PETG or ABS for high-heat environments.
3. Custom Orders & Bespoke Commissions
When you commission a custom 3D print or provide your own STL/STEP file:
- Quotation Validity: Custom quotations are calculated on material consumption, print hours, slicing complexity, and post-processing, and remain valid for 7 calendar days.
- Bespoke Nature: Custom items (personalised figurines, lithophanes with your photos, client prototypes) are made to order and cannot be resold. Once printing has commenced, custom orders cannot be cancelled.
- Printability Review: We inspect client models for wall thickness and manifold mesh integrity. If a design has structural weaknesses, we will advise you before printing.
4. Prohibited & Restricted Content
LittleLayers upholds ethical manufacturing principles. We strictly decline orders for:
- Functional firearm components, receiver frames, or weapon assemblies.
- Bladed weapons or hazardous sharp implements.
- Hate speech emblems, defamatory insignia, or explicit non-consensual imagery.
- Unauthorised commercial counterfeit replicas that violate active registered trademarks.
5. Pricing, Payments & Cash on Delivery (COD)
- Currency: All prices on LittleLayers are listed in Indian Rupees (INR ₹).
- Payment Options: We support secure Online Payments (UPI, RuPay, Visa, Mastercard, NetBanking) and Cash on Delivery (COD) across serviceable pin codes.
- COD Verification: For high-value custom orders (above ₹1,500), we may contact you via WhatsApp or phone to confirm your delivery address before commencing printing.
6. Intellectual Property Rights & Client Indemnity
You retain full ownership of all intellectual property, proprietary 3D CAD files, and personal photographs submitted to LittleLayers. By submitting files, you warrant that:
- You hold lawful ownership, licensing rights, or permission to reproduce the provided design.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LittleLayers from any third-party copyright, design patent, or trademark disputes arising from client-submitted geometry.
7. Your Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not share your password with others or permit unauthorised access to your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hellolittlelayers@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
8. Replacement & Craftsmanship Guarantee
We stand proudly behind our print quality. If an order arrives damaged during transit or contains an indisputable manufacturing defect (e.g., severe layer delamination or wrong colour sent), we will reprint and dispatch a replacement free of charge. 9. Data Protection & Privacy
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). By using our services and creating an account, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described therein. You have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data at any time.
10. Limitation of Liability
LittleLayers prints are intended for decorative, aesthetic, gifting, hobbyist, and visual prototype applications unless certified engineering materials are explicitly contracted in writing. LittleLayers is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the unintended or high-stress structural use of hobbyist-grade prints. Our maximum liability in any event shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject exclusively to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Dibrugarh, Assam, India. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation, and subsequently through mediation if negotiation fails, before initiating formal legal proceedings.
12. Changes to These Terms
LittleLayers reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
